Today the weather was almost as bad as 1987.
“Come on Lydia, let’s go and fetch those torches in case we do have a power cut.
I also need to get my old phone out of the dresser in case I need to call your
parents.”
“Why the old one?” asked Lydia
“The new one needs electricity to work” replied Susie.
“Oh I see” said Lydia.
“Should we turn off the TV and computer?” asked Daniel.
“What a good idea, and I will take out the plugs” agreed Susie.
Meanwhile in Kit’s imagination the Greek God’s were still at battle…
“You bring me nothing! You think you control the seas, You say I am not the most
powerful of all the gods, I shall show you my power!!”
Back on earth -
Sanjay and Nathan were trying to work out how close the storm was by counting
between the lightning and thunder, when suddenly there was a flash of lightning
followed immediately by a huge clap of thunder. It sounded as if it was directly
above them. Everyone, including Susie jumped.
