“That was really close, are you all Ok?” asked Murph.
“We’re Ok,” the children chorused.
“Least the lights didn’t go out or the house be blown away like Dorothy’s,” said a
relieved Lydia.
Susie turned the radio up to listen to any local announcements.
“This is radio Poseidon, fastest growing local radio station in the South, bringing you
the latest on the stormy weather.
A mini tornado hit our beaches, here in the south earlier today. The tornado was
determined by the meteorology department as the tail end of hurricane Zeus that
had devastated parts of the Florida coast in America, earlier this week. Here at
radio Poseidon we were taken by surprise at the strength and power of hurricane
Zeus and that it could travel so far. Many houses have been left without electricity,
but the electricity companies are working around the clock to mend the situation.”
Well I never, thought Susie, looks like Zeus and Poseidon might have had something
to do with this awful weather after all.
